Running from March 27th to March 30th at the enchanting Light Box Theater in Liberty Station, this event showcases the brilliance of award-winning female choreographers—Natasha Adorlee, Bethany Green, and Carly Topazio. Expect an unforgettable evening filled with creativity and emotional depth as we open our 2025 Season: AXIOM spotlighting female choreographers changing the game.

Whether you're a local or just visiting, this performance will connect deeply with your spirit and offer a fresh perspective on the beauty of dance.

Celebrating Female Choreographers

A standout aspect of Empower is its focus on female choreographers. Natasha Adorlee, Bethany Green, and Carly Topazio are not just notable names; they are torchbearers in their craft, each bringing unique narratives to the stage. Natasha Adorlee's ability to craft moving stories through dance invites audiences to feel a spectrum of emotions. In her new work, Time Has Told Me, she evoked themes of loss and healing, and a deep contemplation of the human condition through exploring the life of the late musician Nick Drake.

Bethany Green is a choreographer celebrated for her ability to create deeply emotive and captivating works. With roots in classical ballet and a passion for contemporary expression, her choreography is known for its intricate structure and poignant storytelling. Bethany has become a sought-after voice in dance, crafting pieces that resonate with audiences and performers alike. Her new work, set to Maurice Ravel's Bolero, dives into communal dynamics, exploring the intricate layers of human connection and isolation.

Continuing her creative journey with The Rosin Box Project, founding Artistic Director Carly Topazio adds a new work to the company's growing repertoire. Topazio is a dynamic choreographer whose vibrant, athletic movement language has earned her acclaim in the dance world. With a foundation in diverse dance styles, her work is characterized by its bold energy, technical precision, and modern edge. Her creations consistently highlight her innovative approach to crafting new worlds, and her new work Paper Ash & Phantom Ink promises that much, and more.

Intimate Venue

The performance takes place in the beautiful Light Box Theater in Liberty Station, known for fostering a close connection between performers and guests. This intimate venue can seat only 150 people, making every seat a good one. Imagine watching dancers move inches from your view, every expression and pass filled with emotion. It’s a chance to be part of something special and personal, akin to attending your own private concert.

The performance aims not just to entertain but to create a collective experience where attendees feel united in their emotional vulnerabilities. This sense of belonging is increasingly rare today, making Empower a transformative experience for many.
