In line with the company’s vision, mission, and strategic plan, The Rosin Box Project is committed to fostering an environment of equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion within our organization and practices.

The Rosin Box Project aspires as an organization to reflect the diversity of the San Diego and Southern California region. We strive to create a space that values and celebrates the richness of our diverse community, ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals involved. 

Our policy outlines TRBP’s continued efforts to pursue, embrace, and enact change within our organization, industry, and society as a whole. Our commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in all aspects of our organization includes strategic plans and initiatives to evaluate current efforts, and ensure future growth.

Inclusive and Safe Environment:

  1. We provide a safe and supportive environment where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion and empathy. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of exclusionary behavior is not tolerated.

  2. TRBP seeks to engage students of all levels, interests and backgrounds, to foster a welcoming and healthy environment, and to educate the whole person, nurturing them into creative, confident and well-rounded individuals. 

  3. We share a narrative that reflects the diversity of our community, and encourage involvement, feedback, and conversation at all stages. 

  4. We recruit, hire and retain to reflect San Diego’s diverse and multicultural communities so that individuals see themselves within our offices, our studios and classrooms and on our stages.

  1. We embrace diversity and actively seek to foster a company that reflects the rich tapestry of our society. We strive to have diverse representation among our dancers, choreographers, instructors, staff, volunteers, and collaborators.

  2. We are committed to presenting a diverse repertoire that encompasses a variety of styles, perspectives, and cultural influences, showcasing the breadth and depth of contemporary ballet as an art form.

  3. We will also demonstrate our commitment to diversity through our financial activities, including account of IDEA-related expenditures and devoting resources to spotlight and elevate marginalized groups.

Equity and Fair Treatment:

  1. We are committed to providing equal opportunities to all employees, staff, artists, volunteers, and collaborators, regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical or cognitive abilities, socio-economic background, or any other characteristic protected by law.

  2. We promote fairness and inclusivity in our recruitment, casting, training, and promotion processes, ensuring that all decisions are based on merit, talent, and potential.

  3. We establish partnerships and collaborations with individuals and organizations that share our IDEA principals.

We provide resources, workshops, and training opportunities to promote understanding, empathy, and respectful engagement.

  2. We actively engage with the broader community through outreach programs, partnerships, and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in the arts.

 

Accountability and Evaluation:

  1. We regularly review and assess our policies, practices, and outcomes related to equity, diversity, and inclusion, seeking feedback from dancers, staff, collaborators, and the community.

  2. We hold ourselves accountable for upholding these principles and making continuous improvements to ensure that equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion remain at the core of our values and actions.
